Personal Mission

Redefine business success to include higher value systems.

Integrating people value into the operational systems of business is finally gaining credibility. I have always believed that businesses could increase their bottom line by creating supportive work environments. Typically when I’ve brought up the power of culture, people often respond citing examples of perks as business culture. Perks such as in-house child care, ping pong tables, relaxation space, chair massages and more. While perks are fun and certainly beneficial, they are appetizers, not a meal. Icing without a cake. You have to have a strong foundation for the perks to have lasting benefit.

So now we get to the whole meal? How do you build an intentional culture that catalyzes your business satisfaction and success? The Living the Dream section gives you a glimpse.

Living The Dream

Unlike many business coaches, I’ve had the opportunity to implement my coaching principles into a day-to-day role as an organizational leader and employee. This job opportunity became proof of concept for the power of high performing business built on the foundations of an intentional culture.

At the tail end of 2012 I was hired to facilitate a team workshop for a salon business that was transitioning into a franchise model. Over the span of a few months I moved from being an executive and development coach for the leadership team into the Director of Culture followed by the role of VP of Culture and Training.

The visionary founder and CEO, Debi Lane, caught on fire for the power of culture in building empowered work environments for her budding franchise system. What began as my dream, and Debi’s vision, evolved from a grand experiment into a viable system. Attracting franchisees, consistently high customer reviews, employee morale and retention and eventually the sale of the business reflected the building power of intentional culture.

It all began with passion for the purpose, intention and implementation.

Professional Journey

In 2000, Carrie Morgan excitedly launched her Boise-based coaching business and split her time between Idaho and Washington when recruited to work as a business coach, coach trainer workshop facilitator and resource developer with Clarity International, located at that time in Bellingham WA.

At the end of 2003, Morgan moved to Bellingham and later Seattle to work more closely with colleagues and clients.

In 2013 two notable opportunities shook Morgan out of her independent business focus. Simultaneously working to build two endeavors from the ground up stretched Morgan’s limits and resulted in the foundations for a new national franchise and what would later become an award winning book in 2014.

Re/Entry: A Guide for Nurses Dealing with Substance Use Disorder was awarded first place in the 2014 AJN Book of the Year Award in the History and Public Policy category and Professional Development and Issues category. “This is a much-needed offering for those dealing with the problem of substance abuse.”

  • The previous Living the Dream section explains how a happy consultant turned into a grateful employee in 2013.

That brings us to current day. In the Spring of 2022, Morgan realized her professional vision to step back into her consulting role to bring her depth of experience and success to assist other leaders and organizations who are called to integrate the harmonics of business for conscious leadership.
